we know how much you hate the rules, but every forum has some specifics that need to be put down. please ensure you read these rules before continuing on the forum. Signing up/Accounts
[o1] When you register, your account name MUST be the name of your character's first name.
[o2] You may create as many characters as you want, as long as you can keep up with them all and all are active.
[o3] You are not allowed to have multiple characters on one account (this also applies to staff). One character per account.
[o4] You should also have an avatar and signature, or at least just an avatar. Make sure you give credit (if needed).
[o5] Please RESIZE your avatars, do not simply copy and paste the url. In some cases, this can shove the entire forum to the side when pages are being viewed, if the avatar is too large. If you do not know how to resize an avatar, simply ask a Staff member to do it.
[o6] Signatures must be a limit of 500px in width and 300px in height. Any signatures that exceed this limit will be removed, and you will be told to change your signature size.
General
[oo1] Respect all members and staff. Don't say anything you wouldn't want said to you. If you are having a conflict with another member, either work it out through PM's or take it to the staff.
[oo2] Don't spam or flame anyone. Spamming is posting a pointless, stupid message several times, and flaming is harassing or annoying someone with a rude message.
[oo3] This is an intermediate-advanced site. Our minimum word count per post is 200 words- not that much. However, we focus more on the quality of posts than the length. If you can write twenty pages for a post, that's wonderful. If you can capture the mood and scene perfectly with 201 words, wonderful.
[oo4] A paragraph is seven to nine sentences. We do expect decent size paragraphs.
[oo5] Never use chatspeak. - Don't use it IC, OOC, or on the cbox.
[oo6] Stay active, please. We understand if you can't be on every day, but at least try to keep up on all your threads.
[oo7] If you do get in trouble, don't say you didn't know. That would only show that you didn't read the rules, which would get you in even more trouble.
[oo8] Don't swear at members. You can swear OOC. Your characters can say anything they want IC. Just don't use offensive words directly to other members OOC.
[o9] If your characters are enemies, it does not mean you are.
[o10] No content over an R rating. If your thread does get to be rated R, please put [R] in the title.
[o11] Also, please tag your threads. If you don't have a specific person you want to RP with, then just put [Open].
[o12] Any RP threads that have not been posted in for over a month shall be archived. If the participants wish to continue the thread, PM a Staff Member.
[o13] No Post Claiming. You cannot claim a spot in a thread with 'I will post later, no one post yet!' as other people may have more time and be able to post before you. Sorry, but no, if you miss it, you miss it, just post afterwards.
Characters
[o1] Celebrities, Actors, Singers, Any person is ALLOWED to be used as referenced upon this forum, as long as credit is given in respect.
[o2] This forum is based entirely on creativity of ideas, please ensure all your ideas are original, not copyrighted from specific Movies/TV shows.
[o3] Power playing is not allowed. Taking control over someone else's character, actions, etc. is not allowed.
[o4] Auto-hitting is not allowed, which means saying you did hit the other person's character or saying you caused an injury.
[o5] Godmoding isn't allowed either, meaning dodging every attack or winning every fight.
Applications
[o1] When writing your application, please take in mind all the things that we at Wellspring require from you. Ensure to check over everything. Don't worry though, we don't bite!
[o2] Make sure images in profiles do not stretch the page; this has been on few occasions, and staff cannot resize every image that stretches. Please make sure it is at a reasonable size, if not, then please post it as a URL instead of an image.
[o3] Make sure you have read about the classes before you apply, ensuring to yourselves what class suits your character the best.
[o4] If your application is not yet completed, please put [nd] within the title. Here at Wellspring, we are not strict on incomplete applications, but we would appreciate it if it could be completed as fast as possible to prevent board clutter.
[o5] Once your application is complete, please post [d] in the title so staff know which ones to read through in knowing it is ready to be examined.
